Q. May I know the present status of Ayurvedic education in India?
Ans. In India about 150 Ayurvedic colleges/institutes affiliated with various universities are offering 5 ½ (4 ½ year main course + 1 year internship) BAMS degree course. Students after passing 10+2 exams with Science and Biology subjects can get admission to these colleges after completing the qualifying examination. Post graduation (M.D.) and research (Ph. D.) are also available in many centers, after completing under degree course.
